HYROX Training in Edmonton
Train with a system built specifically for HYROX performance — not generic fitness.
What is the Hyrox workout?
A Hyrox workout is designed to prepare you for the demands of a Hyrox race, which combines 8 km of running with eight functional workout stations. Hyrox-style workouts often include a foundational “buy-in” exercise, followed by multiple rounds of functional movements that build stamina, test recovery under fatigue, and challenge athletes to maintain proper form and a steady effort throughout the workout.

At Impact House, our Hyrox Training classes are designed to help you prepare for race day by building the endurance, strength, pacing, and technique needed for every part of a Hyrox race. Each workout helps you train with purpose, move efficiently under fatigue, and feel more confident going into your event.
Led by Real Hyrox Athletes
What sets Impact House apart is that our training is led by personal trainers who actually compete in Hyrox themselves. They understand what race day feels like, how to prepare properly, and how to help you train with purpose. Whether you are doing your first Hyrox or looking to improve your time, our coaches can help you build the confidence, fitness, and strategy needed to perform your best.
How does Hyrox differ from CrossFit?
Hyrox and CrossFit are challenging in different ways. Hyrox is more endurance-based, combining 8 km of running with functional workout stations like sled pushes, rowing, carries, lunges, and wall balls. CrossFit is typically more varied and often includes heavier lifts, gymnastics, Olympic lifting, and higher-skill movements.
For many people, Hyrox can feel harder from a cardio and pacing standpoint, while CrossFit may feel harder from a strength, power, or technical skill standpoint. If you’re looking for Hyrox Training in Edmonton, Impact House can help you build the running endurance, functional strength, and efficiency under fatigue needed to feel prepared for race day.

What does Hyrox stand for?
Hyrox is the name of the global fitness race that combines running with functional workout stations. While some people online say Hyrox stands for “Hybrid Rockstar,” Hyrox co-founder Mo Fuerste has clarified that this is not true and that the name has nothing to do with “Hybrid Rockstar.” He addresses this near the beginning of his Rox Lyfe Podcast interview, around the 0:18 timestamp.
At Impact, our Hyrox Training and our Hyrox Training Group classes in Edmonton are designed to help athletes prepare for the running, strength, pacing, and endurance demands of race day.
Why Is HYROX Getting So Popular?
HYROX is growing because it makes performance training accessible. The format combines running and functional strength in a way that allows both first-timers and experienced athletes to train together, progress at their own pace, and work toward a clear goal. More than anything, HYROX has created a strong sense of community around fitness again. People are not just working out - they are training with purpose alongside others doing the same.
At Impact House, that is why we built our method around it. Our classes combine running, barbells, turf, ergs, and official HYROX equipment to create an environment where anyone can walk in, feel supported, and train like an athlete.

Ever since running my first Hyrox in Toronto, Impact has been an amazing support system and family for me. Ivan and the team have an energy that you don’t see often in the fitness space and I’ve been involved in fitness for 13 + years, so that’s something special. As an high level athlete that is going after big goals, I’ve seen massive growth working with the team and i feel like it’s just the beginning. Excited for what’s to come!
JESS & TANYA
As a fitness lover, I’ve tried and enjoyed a variety of classes over the years. In 2025, I was introduced to Hyrox through Impact. The goal of competing initially seemed intimidating, but quickly became not only attainable, but fun when I began attending Impact Hyrox classes. I learned proper technique, pacing and training strategies to work on in my own time. I had such an amazing experience at my first doubles competition that I immediately wanted more!Only weekend classes were available at the time, so I began personal training with Xanthinna. Her positive attitude and comprehensive knowledge, gave me so much confidence going into my next doubles competition. My partner and I finished 1st in our age category and we could not have done it without the Impact training and community. Seriously… this fitness community is like no other! I couldn’t be more excited for the recent opening of Impact House. The classes are perfectly designed for every fitness level. Whether you’re brand new to Hyrox or looking for your next PR, they have you covered.

What exactly is HYROX training?
Hyrox training is built to help athletes get ready for the demands of race day, where running and functional workout stations are combined throughout the event. A HYROX-style workout typically starts with a “buy-in” movement or endurance piece, followed by several rounds of functional exercises that improve stamina, challenge recovery under fatigue, and encourage athletes to maintain strong form and consistent effort from start to finish
At Impact House, our Hyrox Training comes in two forms: group classes and one on one sessions. The focus is on building race-ready fitness through structured workouts, proper technique, pacing strategies, and functional strength that carries over to every station.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you come to a Hyrox Camp if you’re not training for a race?
Of course! Although Hyrox is a great race to train for, the style of training is very functional which is what we’ve always embodied as trainers first.
How do I choose between a Hybrid Class vs Hyrox Camp?
Both classes will allow you to utilize the entire studio during your workout. In each class you will use the treadmills, strength racks, and turf. The main difference is Hyrox Camp is programmed for race specific exercises whereas Hybrid is a full body functional workout.
How do I choose where to start on the map when booking class?
When booking in the app, you will choose a starting point of Treadmills (T1-T8), Strength (S1-S8), and Turf (Turf1-Turf8). You will rotate in either format and hit all 3 sections in a class. Your number simply designates which station is yours throughout class. (ie. if you book Treadmill 1, your Squat Rack and Turf lane on your rotations will also be #1).
Is there parking?
Yes! There is plenty of angle and street parking located right in front of the studio. However, there are also an additional 40 stalls located behind the building in the u-shape parking lot. Parking is free at any time of day.
What does “Hybrid” mean?
Hybrid training is a fitness approach that combines running, strength training, and functional movements into one program. It helps build endurance, increase strength, and improve overall performance for real-world activities.
How far in advance can I book classes?
For all Founders Membership pass holders, your credits and memberships have priority booking allowing you to book 14 days in advance. For all standard pass holders and drop ins, your bookings can be made 7 days in advance.
What happens if I’m running late for class?
All classes start on time when scheduled. Any arrivals after class has begun will not have entry to participate.
It’s my first time, what do I need to know?
All first timers must arrive no later than 10 minutes prior to class to be able to participate. This is due to the functional nature of class to ensure a proper run through and demonstration has taken place to ensure your understanding and safety are the top priority. If you are running late for your first class, we strongly advise you to call us to rebook your first visit.
